Comment from Angus Knight CEO regarding Job Services Australia Announcement.

Following the Federal Government’s decision on the tender for Employment Services 2009-2012, Jobfind Centres Australia – Australia’s largest private Job Network provider – has been awarded contracts to deliver welfare to work services from 130 site and service locations.

Commenting on the outcomes Angus Knight’s CEO, Con Kittos said: “The contract offer is a strong result for Jobfind as we have grown from 110 locations to 130 locations. We are extremely pleased with the fact that, not only have we maintained many of our existing locations, but we have expanded into many new areas. We remain the largest private provider in Australia which is a reflection of the good work Jobfind has delivered by our great team and the Government has recognised this.”

Mr Kittos said that Jobfind will be extending its innovative use of technology, work experience and training to assist job seekers and employers from more locations than ever before. Jobfind will continue to build strong relationships with local employers and place more Australians into meaningful jobs.

“While we are happy with the outcomes this is a bittersweet result. We will lose some of our high performing sites - and good people - as the tender does not appear to have rewarded us for sites which were achieving well above average outcomes for job seekers.”

The Job Services Australia contract commences on 1 July 2009. Jobfind will continue to deliver tailored and innovative services to job seekers and employers at a local level in all current locations until 30 June 2009 and during the transition period.
